We have most important electronics on surge suppressors. Unfortunately the one GFCI plug at the end of the island was not. And some things we have no way to put in one. Like the electric water heater, and the inverter system that charges the 12 volt battery. Those may have gotten fried too.
Are you in an RV? Just curious as to your electrical setup because most people don’t have a 12volt system attached to their housing, and I plan on wiring in a 12v and 120v generator powered system for our house, because we are off grid.

Mals story has been on my mind through this particularly because the circumstances seem similar. She is remembered by many and you choosing to share your stories matter more then you know :hugs
I feel it is my duty to share the stories of my failures no matter how painful or embarrassing so that others may not make the same mistakes as me. Or failing that, so they know that the same things have happened to others and they are not alone.

Thank you for letting me know you find it helpful. It's hard to know if it helps anyone sometimes.

@BY Bob was it ine if your cats told you to suggest I turn up the thermostat on my heating?
My cats are ludicrously happy with this change and are sprawled out everywhere basking in the heat!
That's hysterical. :gig:lau:gig:lauits a tropical vacation for them.

Hopefully it makes a difference for you tonight.

No, Betty is sleeping alone tonight.

Mine have never stopped working because of temperature and I have had ambient air temps below -4°F several times. Interesting.
Hmm then what is wrong? I've closed and opened the app twice. Checked the base unit, it seems on, and the app sees it...
