She is actually a lot more active since it warmed up. I believe I will start treating her for arthritis this fall. Much like I did with Lilly.
For example, In February I could not get her to come to the deck despite the treats. This was today.

Yes but he would be perfect for RC! Young enough that Bernie can clobber him if he gets out of hand. But old enough that he can be integrated immediatelyHmmm, too bad he is so young...Hattie needs a mate now...by the end of spring 'flush' when he is old enough, she may not lay any more this year/season.I have to say, if you were closer, I would consider buying him off of you. Your two boys look wonderful, and from what you have said, seem to be upstanding Roos, too!
What a lovely girl, so white and clean! Can she tell Truly how to stay so clean??Sugar pics she was feeling like showing off apparently and I got some cute photos of her.
Preening but I swear in this pic she looks like she about to start a tussle.

But does it have sugar in the electrolytes (which are salts), how is she this morning?Yes she's got electrolyte water![]()
hahahaha good one!!
And you won’t see any cues on gender till one crows, or lays an egg. This is why silkies are very hard to tell gender without a gender DNA test.I want a silkie roo but I think mine are all hens theres no one acting like a rooster.
Why not to your flock?Oh he is a looker! And check out that comb and wattles already! For 2 months he sure is lovely already!
RC - he would be a lovely addition to your flock![]()
Well because I have Mr P and a ‘planned’ silkie Roo on the wayWhy not to your flock?
You know if he had to go somewhere Twig would also be a good addition. He's gaining more confidence around Bubba and Branch. He is also very alert to what is going on in the air. Hawks are everywhere doing their springtime thing. He always has his eye's on them. If he can handle Holly and her "no one sleeps by me" nonsense and win, he could handle Bernie. He is also almost out of his idiot phase. Not once has he offered to step out of line as far as a person has went. Oh, and did I ever mention he is a Corona son. Now, I did say if he had to go somewhere.Yes but he would be perfect for RC! Young enough that Bernie can clobber him if he gets out of hand. But old enough that he can be integrated immediately![]()
If you had to step out and avoid the little presents you would see the downside to that. They look to be getting along a bit better, love how they can go right up to your door![]()
He needs to learn from a good rooster first. Then he can have his own ladies.Yes but he would be perfect for RC! Young enough that Bernie can clobber him if he gets out of hand. But old enough that he can be integrated immediately![]()
Quarantine/ customs/live animals and international borders. Why not to your flock?
