Crap, could have a issue on Gryffyns eggs. I went out late last night because I forgot to tie Louis in. I decided to check on her eggs and when I moved her could not find her eggs. What the heck? I started moving the hay around and I found them buried under the hay. They were not buried earlier in the afternoon because I saw them when she came off to eat. I think Louis may have covered them over with hay. Unfortunately they were cold but Gryffyn went right back onto them. They were developing, and I'm praying I found them in time.

Candle then tomorrow then again in a few days time to see if they are progressing. I have read where hens are off them for a couple hrs mid hatching and come back on them and they hatch.

Thinking good thoughts.

@Ponypoor @RebeccaBoyd I am yet to see a broody Silky. Broody Cochins and Easter Eggers in every corner though

Ah-ha! I have Peavey Mart here in Alberta! Hey fellow Canadian who also has Peavey Mart in Ontario, was it?

It is now 27c and gorgeous, the chickies were out and about but they found it too hot and went under the trees for shade, um nope now in the barn where it's cool.

They are like kids in that regard. 5 year olds KNOW what they want - they just don't always want what is best for them. Be the strong parent and take the 'pecking', knowing that you did what was best for their safety. Better them being upset with you than dead or hurt!

I've been reading through the thread, and, around post #4274 there was a discussion about ad blockers. @Shadrach mentioned that they use Linux. I'm glad to see it's not just me who uses Linux.
And I have a Samsung phone. Galaxy Note 9. Still works.
And since you all demand some sort of tax payment, here's some chicken for you:
