My chicken area, for free ranging, is huge. I put up ten ft. galvanized roofing panels for fencing all around the back. near the barn coop, and chain link in the front. Gated for my car access. All that cost me a fortune, but worth the piece of mind.:old

I have a whole bunch of funny photos and a few stories from my coop from over the last week or so. I haven't been sharing them as it feels insensitive to do so, especially as there has been so much illness and worry going on here. Plus I didn't want to detract from Sydney's hatch theme. I'll share at some point though.
I think you should post them. Over this many threads with the variety of chickens and keeping circumstances there is always some drama (not meant in a derogatory sense) going on. It's chicken keeping. I don't know how many the combined keepers in these threads look after but the amount is large enough to ensure a chicken somewhere is misbehaving, or sick.

Hey Bob, my Old English Game Bantam, Gracie, just had chicks hatch!
I love watching the little fluffers navigate the world with their momma, it's too cute :).
I'm glad your chicks are doing good, love reading your updates!

That is exactly what I was thinking. We can't hold the fun posts for everyone's flock top be 100%. We would never have fun posts.

I definitely will go back and read these. I am well aware of beak sensitivity, but always love scientific articles!
🤔 How did I end up running with a bunch of scientific types?🙄
