Answers tomorrow when I can see straight. Whatever nasty thing I got hasn’t quite finished with me yet, and today’s road trip took every ounce of strength.
Im waiting (impatiently) for those answers. I'm also dancing with delight as I have the day off. :hugs

It's hard to imagine a rooster sleeping with a human. Just goes to show that they're not all furious crowing things with sharp claws.
Jaffar is not the only Rooster on here who gets house time. My silkie Branch likes to come inside for naps and tv time occasionally when he is not busy with daddy duties.

Oh no! Ankle injuries really put you right out of commission:( I hope it heals quickly.
Thanks. It's not bad I think, but a bummer and everything is on hold. I can put some weight on it but no ankle movement, and the ankle outside bone area is swollen. I've been doing that Rest, ice, elevation, compression stuff, mostly from a chair. Plus some diclofenac cream. But with my ankle wrapped, a cane and a light plastic chair easy to move around with me, I spent an hour plus today letting the chickens forage outside the protected run and make their rounds. Lots of greens to eat including chives, and tons of worms under the leaves!

Leghorn are pterodactyl egg layers. They don't squawk about it. The just walk in, lay their egg, and move on. No mud no fuss. They don't understand what the others ladies make such a big deal about.
Would you mind terribly stopping by to explain this fact to Nellie, in great detail? She's the loudest, noisiest hen here. If ANYONE is in the coop (or near where she wishes to lay: translate if she can SEE), she buk buk bukkawk loudly enough I can here her at the opposite end of the house, inside, with al windows/doors shut. Horus is demonstrating he inherited her vocal abilities, too.

He is a so handsome and proud and what a wonderful photo!
I swear he's dumber than a box of rocks (not your rocks, @featherhead007) and at the same time, he's too intelligent for his own good. Once he gets past the hormonal idiot phase, I'm hoping his smarts take the foreground and he turns out to be good at educating future hormonal idiots. If not, the dinner table looks good too. We got a ways to go on that score, though. His first birthday is beginning of next month.

Not an unusual problem. Just today I was trying to imagine a gutter system on our garage/barn that would be at "man height" and more manageable, and feed some potential garden boxes next to the garage. Something sticking out over the garage doors, feed across and down at one corner of the barn. But be easy to take down for winter.

PS I am on a lot today because I sprained my ankle yesterday and can't do much outside or anywhere, all that stuff that has been keeping me too busy to be on....
:hugs
:hugs :hugs for the ankle. Be careful after the first 2 weeks (roughly when it stops hurting). It takes about 8 weeks for those to heal and resets the healing process every time you roll it again (easy to do). Resistance bands can help with strengthening it once you get past the painful point. (One of the kids is GREAT at spraining his ankles)

The Cluckle Hut ramp is steeper than the Main Coop ramp? I am not informed as I’d like to be for what is going on, but like to think about these things - -

Maybe you could cover it with a temporary gripper on top like an outdoor entry mat cut in half lengthwise, or crosswise, whichever way offers better grip for little feet; or fake grass squares, astroturf; or even vinyl-coated hardware cloth.

What about making it less steep with a turn at the bottom, like a wheelchair ramp?
The Cluckle Hut is up higher than the main coop so there is definitely MORE ramp. I'm not sure about the angle. Sydney's chicks had a hard time with the main coop's ramp.

And I shall post some 💖

Tomorrow though, I am pooped, and my back and hips are killing me. Putting in laminate flooring is NOT easy!

Beautiful chooks and a lovely chick 💖

And your weather looks great 😊

Glad your cam is up and running 😊

Looks like she left you a present!

Yes she looks like she is just lounging there all relaxed 🤗
Oh yes, Philomena left me a present. She will have to be potty trained
