The tween stage is so cute and not all at the same time. She is currently rocking the condor look.

She is my only one with wattles so I am trying for a pullet with wattles, so far Tippy isn’t showing much of a comb or any wattles (full sister to Rico)

You don't want her to yet. If wattles popped now, late developing roo. She shouldn't pop much until she's getting close to laying.

Looks like for Rico, the v comb caused the straight comb to split. Could wind up looking kinda like a Buttercup (comb is almost a crown circle, unique to the breed. YES, @RoyalChick there is a breed of chicken called Buttercup). It could end up looking like a straight comb with a spray at the tip. It could end up looking like a bladed V comb, it could do other things too. Should be interesting to see how it grows.

And leaving poor Hattie to take the blame?
To clean up the mess. But see how sly Hattie is. Nothing to see here. Just a gray chair of which I am the same color. It really was just her comb that drew my attention.

Generally I agree but I have a Silky rooster that is more noisy than any 5 other chickens combined. He's almost as noisy as the guinea males.
My husband mentioned a few times about getting guineas and I said everyone says they are loud like really really loud.
Then we were at trade days and someone had one and he nwas raising the roof. I pointed it out to my husband and he was like ohhh nooo now I understand. 😂
Yes. Eli continues to be completely nutso.
We are on day 19.
This is what Bernie has to deal with. Look how big Eli can make herself!

It really is amazing how floofed out they can get when broody. I had no idea either and was throughly impressed at the floof level they obtain while broody.

Buckeye hens have even smaller pea combs, very flat without much of a pointy end. Sometimes like a fleur de lis with a pattern on either side of the middle line
