Nope, never tried that one.
I've got Islay Bowmore, A 12 year old Glen Livit and Tamdue here.
Despite me and my half brothers best attempts last Christmas, we didn't manage to empty a single bottle!
There's always next year.
Bowmore is very nice. It is in one of the decanters. I've never had Tamdue. I'll have to try it.

It is good to have goals when the family stops by. :D

I have 8 Chickens: Discussion

3 years ago I had 3 chickens.

2 years ago I had 4 chickens.

1 year ago I had 5 chickens.

I now have 8 chickens.

3 years ago the original coop maxed out at 3 chickens. I had just completed the expanded coop and with it, obvious chickdn expansion.

As the flock has expanded it has become more difficult make certain everyone gets their fair share of snacks. 5 hens was so difficult that I sat down and trained them to wait their turn. I could call each hen by name and they would take their piece of pasta. I was working on the 6 hens (3 new ones) to teach them the same when Sydney went broody.

Taking Sydney from the flock made me realize that 5 is much easier than 6. Of course part of the improvement comes from Sansa only having Phyllis to chase.

Treat time now is simply insane. Lilly and Sansa simply have too many targets now. They are chasing, Sydney, Phyllis, Ned, and Lucky so much that I am not actually certain they eat that much (This to Hattie and Aurora's delight). The chaos is more than a little off putting. There is a lot of shrieking as chickens get pecked and chased. I do many things to try and limit the chasing and make certain everyone gets some including multiple treat locations. But Lilly and Sansa roam like sharks looking to peck unsuspecting hens (and chicks).

I believe that I will eventually train the 6 but this chaos has reminded me of one of the reasons why I drew the line (in pencil) at 6 and will probably make rehoming the chicks easier.

I found the chicks alone at the back door yesterday after everyone else had feasted on some grains. I was able to sneak the chicks some mealy worms without the others finding out. 😁

Lucky is going to be a looker for sure!!! Those slate legs make me wonder if she is going to lay colored eggs?! Stanley sure does make some nice babies! Ned is growing up nicely too!

The other bottle is Balvenie double cask. That is my favorite. The Macallan 12 year is underneath along with some Dalwhinnie 15 year and Pinch arming others.

One of the decanters on top has bourbon (Makers 46) the other 3 have scotch in them.

I had Cardhu for the first time yesterday. Have you ever tried it?

I prefer scotch to bourbon but I will drink both. There are many days (very often these days) when I wonder how abnormal I am for an American.
Don't worry - you are not that strange. The US is now the biggest export market for Single Malt Scotch. I think it used to be Japan but they now apparently make their own and I hear it is very good (not tried yet). I am working my way through a 25-year Glenmorangie which is very good.

Oh @BY Bob .. .. Lucky might lay colored eggs. Oh my. Just saying, I won't think any the worse of you!

Hi, I know I have only posted on here a few times but my Black Sex Link was begging for treats on the porch railing earlier and I couldn't help but treat her. I did NOT edit this. If you zoom in you can see how wide open her beak was. IMG_1021.jpg

Why are you tempting me with colored eggs right after I said I can't have more than 6? Why! :barnie Do you not like me or something? 😬

That is amazing! Talk about "unhinged".

I was writting about Knocks leg problems earlier in this, or maybe it was another thread.:oops:
I mentioned that one of the lumps had fallen off. This picture shows the one that's left. It also gives some idea of what a terrible state her legs are and it's not from my lack of trying. They have improved considerably over the last couple of weeks.
