What about cockaone?
Here are the brown tips on Petunia’s feathers - I wonder if she will have two toned feathers?Petunia has a very pretty sheen going on there!
As far as 'boy' I don't know - there isn't the slightest bit of coloring like Rico - and they are the same age, right? Also, though not the best angle, it doesn't look like there are any wattles showing yet, either
@BY Bob : What does Phyllis' comb look like under the lovely headdress of hers? Do hens get the slightly forked comb, too?
P.S. I LOVE that picture of Petunia. You should submit it for POW and for the next feather photo contest - very nice detail of the feathers - both texture and a bit of shimmer at the 'nape' of her neck!I think she is just adorable.
I wonder why this message didn’t properly attach to the one I was replying to? I see By Bobs didn’t also.Awwww so adorable thanks ever so much for sharing![]()
Awwww. Eli borrowed her name from this Eli (remarkable story I think) and I am sure would be happy to lend it to Eli-too.Here are the brown tips on Petunia’s feathers - I wonder if she will have two toned feathers?

And this one I am sure is also a pullet (she is a escape artist, and I snagged her by grabbing her tail, she immediately squatted - the who are boys never do they they just scream at me), she can fly like a Robin, I was calling her Eli-too but not sure is RC is ok with that. Anyways she is getting white spots on her chest.

But I’m still trying to wrap my mind around the fact that there are different types of Guineas. I thought that this was the only type: the California native Guinea Pig.Maybe not cluttering this thread - but at some point if I get my mind around it - I would love to pick your brain via PM on all the things for me to think about and set up for Guineas. I am still getting my mind around not being able to do the 'ooops' on the native quail but as hopes for that fade my mind will turn to Guineas again I am sure!
Hopefully they won't harass the roosters this time! If I remember correctly, that is why you put them in the tractor in the first place. While Lety was out of town this past weekend I made the decision to turn the Guineas lose and leave them lose. After killing the copperhead in the pen that made the decision for me. They integrated fairly well with the chickens and dogs. This freed up their tractor se we moved Goldie and 4 in it.
Anyhow I will post a thread summing up everything that might contribute to why she had died, and maybe I'll learn. I think she was a golden comet, or some kind of mix. Here she is with her best friend Knokalina (Lhicken is in front, Knokalina is the white hen behind her)I am not sure if that is average age for this sort of issue, and not sure if there is anything to reduce the risks of thisI keep an eye on Marty she laid a few soft eggs, and she is a silkie not a production breed by any means.

Sorry for getting back so late to you ! They are cross Marans and Harcos, so pretty similar to what a Noirans must be like. Are those two Harcos? Do they have feathered legs? Their colouring is similar to my Blanche and Sophia, I have no idea what their breeding is, and my cousin cannot remember.
