I opted for a clean pair of breeches instead of the smelly barn wear.

Then I trotted to the barn. Note to self: make sure not to trip over the poultry netting while trotting…. 😁 (it was dark and raining haha)

Poor chooks got all disturbed and Tuff was not happy to see me. But I got her amoxicillin and Tylenol into her, managed to get chicken poop on the clean breeches 😆 and headed back to the house, and climbed over the poultry netting getting my foot tangled in it. It’s like a Laurel and Hardy skit here at times!!

No it’s not that I am busy, I got distracted with chasing the Tweens and the school chicks to bed. I have to count them, and count the grups (grown ups), and mama and her 4 chicks… then there is Tuff - awwww I forgot her!

Everyone is tucked into bed and snuggled in together.
Sorry you got poop on your clean pair of breeches! :sick glad you didn't hurt yourself tripping on the netting. Tucked in is great.

After more thought, I have come to realize that my tenants were right. They wanted a pet and a place to have one, but I think the bigger issue is the neighborhood. I totally see why they wanted to go. I’m seriously entertaining the idea myself. Especially after the fire that threatened my house as well.
I’ll be crunching numbers and burning the midnight oil planning my next move.

I don’t like to disturb them after I put them out in bed, it causes everyone to start shuffling around - I left the lights off sand used my winter toque that has a light on the forehead to see and bring Tuff into my office.

Poor Tuff - but forgot about her !

@Ponypoor, I really enjoy your Shakespeare quotes. I haven't read enough of him!

I did recently read, Shakespeare: The World as Stage, by Bill Bryson. For such a well known person, maybe the most read English author, we know VERY little about him. And yet the book was absolutely fascinating! Which wasn't surprising, since Bryson is a wonderful writer.

I have read you saying this just too many times. It was my first thought when the house burned. I'm not the right person to tell you, so I hope you won't take it badly, and maybe others who know you better will - you need to make moving out of this neighborhood your priority.

Tax : little Théo, far offspring of Durin and Thorin, once a king now a fallen forlorn rooster in hiding.
