Sadly male 22 died today. Although I don't think a predator caused it I have also been having problems with a baby snake eating all the eggs and chicks! I don't know how to stop it! I buried him and now his mate is looking for a man!

One of my young (almost full grown) chicks - broody hatched - from last year. She had just done the 'shake' and was still puffed up a bit.

She looks as grumpy as my princess

Oh, @RoyalChick , be afraid, be very afraid - looks like gossip around the water cooler! That may lead to another Union strike or, at the very least, a Union demand for negotiations of benefits and wage (meal worm) hike!

Oh, @RoyalChick , be afraid, be very afraid - looks like gossip around the water cooler! That may lead to another Union strike or, at the very least, a Union demand for negotiations of benefits and wage (meal worm) hike!

I negotiated a new contract yesterday with the help of a bowl of blueberries provided by @BY Bob who came to visit.
So I think I am OK for now, provided I follow through with the rest of the blueberries.
I think in this picture Babs is explaining the blueberry rules to the others.
The blueberry rules boil down to ‘Babs likes them most so she gets as many as she wants before anyone else gets a look in’
