Red hasn't been drained at all - I have been putting it off, but last night she was gasping, so I have to do it now. I just talked with my Vet he has a butterfly needle for me to use this time around, it is a needle with a long thin tube that you attach the syringe to, with way it makes the needle sit more stable and I don't have to worry about moving the needle around in the hens abdomen.
I will run up there in a few minutes and grab the stuff, then see if my BIL will pop down to help drain her.
I also chatted with my vet about if she doesn't improve, then will look at euthanizing her. I really shouldn't have let Tuff go so long but with chickens you really don't know do you sometimes?
