Well that Person sure has a lot of gawl - and yes feel free to decline helping those who you feel are not reciprocating with help.

Be freeeeeeeee!

PonyPoor, that’s one thing many people here have, it’s GAWL. No money, but overflowing with GAWL!

They are all beautiful! I am very taken with storm, She looks like a living pencil sketch. Beautiful 😍.
I wasn’t rude about it, but why do they always call me? Was I wrong for not rushing over there? :idunno :he

I agree with other posters. Drawling boundaries is heathy! You should do what you can and want to do.

OkI think rather than moving anyone I would be inclined to try and make her more comfy. Could you put down some cardboard to insulate the floor in that area? Add some bedding? Maybe even a small block of 2x4 on the floor like a mini-roost?
No, there's literally no room. Anything I put will literally block her from going under there. Maybe the cardboard would help.

She ducks under there for really no reason. Just went to get away from me! I got her out, Tres came in, right back under... :/

That is where she feels safe.

What a wonderful picture!

Another take on Alex’s situation might be that it is a reflection of how loved and trusted he is in his community and he just needs to start communicating that while he is still there for those who need him, he is not as young as he was and therefore not able to do everything he used to be able to do, and may even need a helping hand himself now and then.
Eggsactly! 🥰

So far behind! Again!
And it won't let me quote today. I'll try to catch up later. But I have a question I need the answer to before tonight if anyone is willing to offer an opinion.

Meanie spent last night, all night, under the feeders on the cold coop floor, apparently. :(

Should we maybe move Tres to the small coop for a couple days? Or am I still overreacting?

I want happy hens darnit... no matter the pecking order.
You could try that for a few days and see if her behaviour changes.

Can Tres see them in the small coop? So he isn’t stressed being alone, or put his sister with him.

I may owe some SHRA tax so here it is 😊

Ah, bays are amazing. Very underrated. People like “fancy” colors like dapples and paints, but they forget about bays.
Now, I’m not one to speak because I do love a good paint or appaloosa, but bays are stunning too.
If I ever get a horse when I’m older, you won’t be seeing me with a grey! Ugh! Whenever I had to bathe Lenny to get ready for a show, I had to scrub him for HOURS! Before and after, because he rolls after baths.
We have a couple of the track horses. I’ve never ridden them, but I’ve heard that they can be difficult. I do love getting to know animals personalities.
Today I am going to the barn again to say goodbye to Lenny. My instructor is going to let me ride him one last time, which I think is very nice, and she doesn’t have to do that. I found out where he is moving. I’m not going to say the exact place, just for safety, but he is going to be about 2 1/2 hours away from my house. I doubt I’ll ever visit him though.

Splotch and BBQ will be right on me for food, but I dare move an inch to pet them, they will jump and run away. BBQ has been a bit sweeter though lately, I was able to tickle her crop area yesterday.

I love Mr. P! He is so cute! I can’t stand it! He and Phyllis are the reason I wanted Polishes! I wanted blue eyes or buff laced ones more than the W.C. Black ones, but they were the only ones available, so I got them. Well, my dad is the one who saw the W.C. Black Polishes and pointed them out to me.
Re Lenny: I am sure you will have a special place for him in your heart 🥰

Re Polish: I really like them all, the black/white created like Phyllis are stunning - they cannot wait to see a flock of them that you get 😊💕

And here, look at Dakota. One leg up when she’s eating? I think she does it just to make me angry 😠! View attachment 3709044
Awww my moulting chooks do that also - I wonder if they are tender with their new feathers?? Protecting their thigh leg area when they bend over to eat.
