She's an absolute horror! She's horrid to her sister Moon. She gives Treacle a hard time and he's so patient with her. She hisses at me every time I come in the house. She gets a couple of days in with me then it's back to the coop. She can't defend her nest anyway. Everybody chucks her out.

Awe, thanks! She’s sweet, too. My wildest, most skittish, but has a sweet voice and occasionally squats for me so I can actually touch her!

I think you're right. I don't believe that she is a Barred Rock. It looks like she has lacing and not barring. As to what kind of hen she is, I'm not sure.

She definitely does not look like a BR. Her feathers look more laced than barred. What color are her legs?

this is the weird part. They started as a very very light pinkish, creamish brown. But they have faded overtime and now they’re hard to distinguish from my leghorn’s white eggs!

Big Mak attack is beautiful! I agree Ester is likely a Cuckoo Marans. But there’s something wrong with her egg coloring system.

Very long. As I said she usually stands like a rooster with an extended neck. As Lozzy pointed out she does have those couple of barred wing feathers. Personality wise she is all Rock ~ but she is a most unusual bird. She's great as she is hardy & not ever a bird I've had to worry about, Lays well, middle order ~ gets overlooked a bit as she isn't a fantastic looker, isn't demanding of attention but friendly. Start adding it all up & she's rather special.

I think she is one of a kind.
