Fox superhighway - just outside where the fence would be if it were up.
Fox highways converge just a little away from the Chicken Palace.
I followed some of the tracks - they are also going right up close to the house. Hopefully they are catching mice there.

Are you from Croatia Grandma ?? I recognize четыре from taking russian in high school. (Hope it's not offensive, some of my friends from eastern europe countries don't like to be told their language is close to russian... especially from westerners !)

I would say I'm Croatian, but I'm actually Bosnian. It doesn't matter since both are fairly similar. No, I don't find this offensive.

Yesterday it was brewing up for a big storm, I thought our roof would come off.
It's windy wet and cold here now but no where near as bad as yesterday and last night.

I shut princess in this afternoon because I didn't want her too get hurt in this wind. She's had a cuddle and plenty of food and at least I know she's safe.

No new pictures sadly.

Wow that’s crazy!! Hopefully it will warm up for you to put up some Hotwire.

It stopped raining for now. I let the chooks go outside in the yard. The house is heated, so under the porch is a good place for them to hang out. I hope they are comfortable enough, and not too dumb to stand in the rain if I starts again

If any of the chooks get wet. I have a new feather dryer that I bought from Walmart

An army of foxes?

I just watched two foxes chase each other around the field screaming at each other.
I didn’t have the presence of mind to film it. Bright red against the snow - pretty striking.

Breeding season is upon us for foxes and coyotes, it’s very noisy here at night right now.
And the owls are already raising chicks (owlettes?) - and soon it will be April and the deer will be popping out fawns! The circle of life abounds.

Mr P needs to learn to stay clear of the pullets who want to pick at his poor head feathers!
