I think I've got this new operating system more or less sorted now; I've tried out four so far.:caf:idunno
Sooooo, I can resize pictures and that means I can post them.:wee
That's Mel outside. It looks to me as if the others live in the house and I've got a coop somewhere.

That short list is getting longer by the week.:p
:p Well, We're not like America yet where you can get everything & varieties thereof. I have to keep some sort of list of breeds that might work or I'd like to try & hope one or 2 are available when I need to replace. MJ has had terrible trouble trying to get Cream Legbars & I know she wants them & they are on her list.

I hope you all don't mind but I am going to post some pictures and videos of Maggie over the next few days as a pre-death memorial.
It seems she is just too ornery to die even though the vet says she will soon and offered to euthanize her.
But we agreed she is still enjoying her chicken life and so there is no need to end it today. The vet is only about 20 mins away and can euthanize her at short notice if her quality of life goes down.
Meanwhile, she seems to be enjoying herself.
He gave me a few things to look out for if she is feeling unwell, and in the meantime I plan to spoil her rotten. Corn? Meal worms? Banana? Blueberries? She gets whatever she wants!
Here is to you Maggie - a life well lived however short.
Lovely girl. She is as lucky to have you as you are to have her. :hugs

You post away RC. I'm so sorry the vet didn't have more hopeful news.:hugs

You need something specified to cope with 4 inch diameter to cope well with two inches I've found. A bit like flat pack chicken coops; somewhat over specified.:D
The little coop at my place was specified as suitable for 6 chickens. Six!!! I kept the two pulkets in there when they were tiny, and even then it was really rather small for them!
