O, you forgot this one terrorizing them because they are not chickens!

She'd certainly keep a backyard flock in line!!

If chickens don't behave they don't get a forever home here ~ Lucky for us out of 14 yrs we re-homed only two rascals that wouldn't leave the Silkies alone: a large Marans hen went to our friend's layer flock, & Char a heavy Breda fowl went to our rescue farm friend who kept her as a house pet.

The Marans was the worst ~ she harassed all the flock members & our sweet little Leghorn Bela was always putting the Marans in place. It was a very peaceful flock after rehoming the troublemaker.

The Silkies quibble amongst themselves enough w/o big heavy birds harassing them. A 2-lb feather duster doesn't stand a chance against 7-8 lb bullies!

My friend from Texas has that cat and her pet mouse
That is too too cute. I am re-falling in love w/ cats again this year! Too many neighborhood cats so I won't add another. I had enough just breeding Persians years ago. Poor DH is terribly allergic anyway :idunno.

Siberian cats are supposedly non-allergenic but not 100%

I gave a friend a carton without realizing those were my last eggs.
Piglet and Pooh are still laying even though the coop is full of their feathers, so I may have a couple for breakfast tomorrow.
I also keep a couple of containers of frozen beaten eggs in case of emergency!

He's very sweet and talkative.

He and the other boys get along very well, Ric Flair especially likes to hang out with a fellow floofy boy

And he waits on the perch at night for the hens to go to bed, but sometimes it's then too dark for him to see the doorway so I have to give him a stroke and shine my light on the coop ramp.

He's doing very well here!
I'm so glad. He surely looks like he is thriving. 🥰
