He is PRECIOUS!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! KISS KISS KISS!!! Those wonderful Dominiques!!! And our over 7-yr-old Dom girl gave us another egg this morning! Such a friendly unafraid outgoing calm talkative people-friendly breed ~ we've had 4 Doms over the years & there's not ever been a mean one in the bunch & so good toward our littles (Silkies).

I was thinking the same thing that cuckoo barring crossbreeding passes on the red comb. I'm going to look up comb colors for Silkies. I believe European standards accept "mulberry" combs which is a dark wine color but pure "red" is not acceptable. Not sure but I believe it's the same SOP in USA too.

Not sure it shows well, but Bert has mulberry coloured comb and wattles

Thanks - I wish I had Dom hens myself. They look so beautiful and would go well in my flock.
