Good one!Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but a roo would be so delightful, and because you have no better place to go, let him crow, let him crow, let him crow!

We are over 6 inches with hours to go!Started here around noon. Have a couple of inches and it is forecast to go on most of the night. I have shut the ladies in and turned on the warming station, so if I can’t make it out to them tomorrow they are all set.
It is quite cold now and temperature dropping quite fast.
I have a doctors appt tomorrow morning. Hopefully the roads will be ploughed by then.
It's smaller in length. Makes great nest boxes and enables them to really dig. Long straw does not work as well in my limited spaces. Why is chopped a good thing?
Glad you are home safe!Made it back safely though it wasn’t the nicest of driving conditions and some guy shot through a red light just as I was approaching the intersection. I think maybe his brakes failed because he was blaring his horn to warn me!
Three ladies (thankfully including Calypso) ate roosting under the umbrellas and by the panel heaters.
Piglet wants nothing to do with them so is roosting on her own, and Sylvie has gone back to a nest box.
And my personal favortie:There is this one

They simply prefer outdoors to indoors. I suspect vitamin D is a strong motivator, but the high cloud cover today sort of negates that idea. There are some who've chosen to stay inside, and miss out on all the scraps and treats. You have some tough birds there.![]()
