Glad I’m not colorblind. I have beautiful colored birds.
Redheaded Rhode Island Red,
Blue chook because she’s so blue.
Little CeeCee with her pink eyes and eggs.
The Rockettes are black with white stripes, or the other way around.
Mr Wyandottey has so many different colors that I can’t really describe.
I am always amazed at the variety of colours and feathers on chickens - amazing 😊♥️

Started here around noon. Have a couple of inches and it is forecast to go on most of the night. I have shut the ladies in and turned on the warming station, so if I can’t make it out to them tomorrow they are all set.
It is quite cold now and temperature dropping quite fast.
I have a doctors appt tomorrow morning. Hopefully the roads will be ploughed by then.
Drive careful tomorrow. It’s a good old fashioned winter it seems!

Earlier today they were forecasting 10" but I don't think it is going to be anything like that much. As long as the roads are ploughed overnight I should be fine getting to the doctor's office. I will plan to leave extra early though, just in case.

Even the deer came in...jumped out of the yard when I went to close the coop (7 eggs today)

and REALLY startled whe I opened the coop door after head count and egg collection. They started at about 4 feet away....and made the distance greater in a hurry.

The snow plows here generally drive by around 4:30am, they scrap any drifts back and throw down a salt/sand mixture.

My neighbour down the road works for the Twsp driving the heavy equipment so he makes sure the road is done first thing so he can get back and forth easily. Just wish he wouldn’t fill the end of the driveway with snow 🤨
