Another probably really bad idea... I got a tropical ulcer when we first moved here that refused to respond to treatment. I cracked an antibiotic capsule & poured it directly onto the wound. Yes it stung like crazy. Yes it ate away the infected flesh but it did the trick & I've never had another tropical ulcer.
The guys who keep the the fighting cocks do that here. It's very effective.

Sounds painful, but if it works... it’s good. I have put a post out on our Facebook forum looking for unused antibiotics... I’m sure to get a load of hate for it but... DH is taking a little nap, but we will be off to the post office to check for meds in about half an hour.

Amazon.ca, Walmart Canada, were both completely devoid of anything vaguely antibiotic... other than polysporin and ozonol ointments. Amazon.com won’t ship any of that here. Walmart USA has it online for $10!!! Sheesh. I really blame those people who were trying to popularize the fish mox for human use stuff. I do understand limiting the use to prevent antibiotic resistant bugs from developing, but this level of restriction is just insane from a farming perspective.
I totally agree Kris. Wish there was some way, some how, you could find some there.:he

It was pissing down with rain when I woke up at 6am, it's still doing it now.
There's been a large landslide on the other side of the ridge apparently and the track up there is gone.
Lots of people in the UK struggling with trying to protect their chickens from the bird flu outbreak. For may the guidlines/regulations are just not practicable in their keeping arrangements.
No fluffy butts; might have got a few wet butt shots if I had my camrea with me.
Knock from her last sit and hatch.

I’m not going to ask any of my American friends to mail me any, unless they have a neighbor or nemesis to put down as the return address incase it gets stopped at the border. Just checked and there’s still nothing in the mail, and no emails from customs or the place I ordered them from. Hmmmmm... you’re a pilot right? I’m picturing a drug smuggling-esq air drop onto our little Sailboat but instead of the usual contraband, it is of stupidly cheap fish antibiotics that you can’t buy here anymore! :lau

And THIS is why Quarantine!!!

is so important, I know. I am with you on that even if I am really bad for breaking this rule. I am in a place with very little problems as far as illnesses go. Between the feral birds here, the small number of birds on island, and for a few other reasons, I don’t worry too much about it. In many areas though there are major issues with highly contagious diseases.
