If I'm eating Pizza and Fat Bird and/or Ruffles are in the house they look noticeably pissy if I don't give them a bit.

It cracks me up how they can look at something offered with that 'is that it' look.

It happens all the time. Hattie gave it to me last night over Pasta!

I was stunned. But that was not what she wanted. Too bad for her, that’s all I had. I am not going to start making special snacks for hens.

so it's an under ground pool . ? Do you treat the water?

It’s a fiberglass in-ground pool. I treat the pool water when it is open. I do not treat the huge amount of water that gathers on top of the cover throughout the course of the winter, hence the algae build up by spring.

It’s ok, Chickie’s just having a sun-bake. She had a massive dirt bath this morning under the lemon tree, so she must be feeling ok at the moment!

I also got an Isa egg this morning! I think it might have been Lucy; I really thought (hoped) she had stopped!

I got Lucky

I am on the road for work. I left the house at 4:00 am yesterday flew to Atlanta had a meeting then flew to Birmingham, AL for meetings at corporate. I was wiped when I got to the hotel last night. I just crashed. Went right to sleep.

When I woke up this morning I flipped on the web came to see what the girls were up to this morning. This is what I saw.

Maleficent and Aurora did not get in the coop last night.

I will take the blame for not checking the cameras before bed. But my wife is home. It would be nice to know that if I forgot I could count on her. I'm so thankful that Aurora and Maleficent are ok.

Yet I feel like I failed them last night. If something had happened...........

I bet Lilly was patrolling the roost again, naughty girl. You must talk to her about her duties regarding the younger hens.
