I went to put the girls to bed just now. Tegan and Nyssa in the new house, check. Charlie and River in the old hou.... hang on, where’s River?! I double-checked the houses, nope. So I went to check where she roosted the last time she went AWOL... grrr, I walked right past her! Little buggar! :th

Indeed I think it is a lot for "middle aged" children. I think very young children can just enjoy it as a silly story and I think teenagers know enough. It's that middle group that I think would struggle with it a little.
A book of many levels.:)
I enjoyed it. I have a copy of it here somewhere. Kipling was another I enjoyed when I was young.:old

She's camouflaged!!!

I have maybe settled on a name for the little one. Arduinna... (ardwenna) thoughts? It’s a Gaulish Forest Goddess name. I was looking for forest in different languages, and DH hasn’t objected too strongly to this offering. He might just be tired from goat sitting while I did morning chore prep for making that early boat with Roostie and baby goat. Wish us luck, we both still need supper and showers, and to organize and pack up the truck.
I like it. That's fun!
