She seems to be feeling a little off and is keeping her distance from her friends.
Mine react that way as well. It has to be super uncomfortable. Additionally, try to imagine how annoying those other hens can be talking about how pretty their feathers are all the time. :barnie

How can anyone take offence over a request for nappies/diapers?! I agree that FB can bring the worst out in people. Can you give us an example for entertainment’s sake? ;)
Yes I would love to see an example of that kind of behavior!
If anyone does, I will let you know how it goes... I would guess stealing the resources from precious children, or a comment about DH and I being childless? You really never know what is going to set some people off here.

I asked if the road to the farm was “passable” a few days after our snowstorm, if there were any trees down across it. It turned into an all out keyboard brawl. I took it down after a few hours, and then the people “discussing” the safety began putting up trolling postings to support their opinions on the road safety and tagging me in their posts. (I blocked a few people that day, that I hardly even know). Other fun “explosions” have happened over innocent inquiries about buying a type of knitted wool sweater from local artisans, that’s apparently cultural appropriation. Can we open the rec center to people in need during the 4 day power outage for hot meals and cellphone charging? Rec center committee went with Covid says no... stay home and freeze if you have electric heat/stoves that’s too bad (it’s our emergency shelter building with big generators and propane appliances). That escalated quickly. A young woman’s choice in relationships was publicly paraded and demeaned... that became a name calling/bullying situation that it took four days to have removed by FB.

And again... so grateful everyone here is so respectful, even when discussing things we don’t agree completely on.

That is so sad. Humans are so disappointing at times. 😟
