They are so funny when they run. :D:D

Since Tsuki gets out at least once a day, I'm training her to come when called. She has to think I have meal worms for it to work though :p

That is a good start. I started Daisy, the greatest hen ever, with food but in the end she would just come when called. I feel that being able to call them is essential. If there is ever a problem and they are free ranging, I need them to come to me so I can defend them. I'm so glad that I have trained them to that point.

When the rabid skunk came into the yard and attacked Daisy, I was able to call them to the house and get between them and the skunk. It enabled me to get the skunk out of the yard without anyone in the flock being hurt.

You are a very brave and responsible rooster Bob.That actually must have been pretty risky for you. We don't have rabies in Australia thank goodness. What did you have to do with the skunk?

Sigh, guess who’s broody again!

She got off the nest to shout at me some more and I saw she was sitting on an egg. Guess who’s going to broody jail tonight?!

I love watching them build a nest. That is a great video. I can imagine that she was hard to find. She blends in very well.

It's funny, she bakawks just likes Lilly.
