I am not disagreeing with you but I have tiers. Until this (in the spoiler) is eliminated chicks hatched with no mums are nowhere on my list.

BTW, I buy PDZ granules for HORSES. Exact same stuff, but fit some reason less expensive without a chicken on the bag.

Where do you buy it? I get tired of having to order online and pay shipping prices.

There was one good thing about the back up yesterday morning. I've got my Fluffy Butt Friday shots already. I'll go ahead and post these 2 as teasers as the 2 I'm holding back are much better. This girl is one of the twins, Bunny. If I can catch them in the nest box with their egg I can tell them apart. Bunny's is bigger with dark speckles but lighter over all. Lola's egg is smaller, no speckles but darker. It was actually Lola in the box causing the back up.

I'm praying the hen fairy swings by again. Especially since its confirmed that all 6 of my last batch of BCMs are boys. Every single dang one of them. 2 of the chicks have hatched, Pickles and one of Clover's eggs. I only caught a glimpse of them as momma raised up for a second. I waited for a few minutes beside her until she pushed the empty egg shells out from under her and I removed them. Drumstick knows there is babies hatching. He is sitting on top of momma's hiding spot running all the other chickens away if they try to come see what is going on. Have I mentioned lately I love that rooster lol.

What an amazing rooster!
