Thank you. :)

It's all incredibly difficult because I've a feeling this cat belonged to an old lady that died a couple of years ago . The garden he frequently goes to the people ignore and attempt to contact them and the lovely lady next door is very fond of her plonk.

So I'm hoping my lad will wise up and make him more welcome when he passes by here. I know it sounds silly but I will try my very best, but this is no easy task.

I will call the cat protection again next week and tell them, no help then no donation.

I'm sorry to hear his situation is so poor What you might want to do as an in-between is a DIY cat shelter. They are very easy to make and it would give him a ,warm, dry, safe place.

I empathize.
My tradies are still finishing the Chicken Palace and I think it is going on 18 months.
We are at finishing stages (painting the doors) but as they are salvaged that is a lot of work and can only be done on a day without rain and nobody is on holiday or sick etc etc.
I am at peace with the pace but a bit of tidy-up is needed.
Good luck on getting finished. It will feel great to be done!
I don't mind the slow pace because of the extra time for thinking about where to put things within it. At the same time, that feeling is in tension with wanting to bring the four year struggle against wildbirds to an end.

Sunny Saturday Morning

The littles were very interested in the teens, which led to a family photo.View attachment 2644555
Observations: 1 is definitely the most bold, jumping off of a table yesterday. 2 likes to drink water. 3 is at the bottom rank, always being pecked at. (Could be the red tip of the beak). 4 is timid, but can defend themself.

Eventually, the littles slipped through the fence, but things were under relative control.View attachment 2644565
The littles have shown no interest in me and want to remain orphans. Meanwhile the six week olds still want to hide under me. In fact, Cinnabar sat down and let me stroke her neck. Creamsicle did as well later.

Last thing, 1 appears to be a silver laced Wyandotte? Given the possible parents, that would mean cockrel? We shall see...
Adorable!
