Here's a baby update!!

Still no name for this cutie, but she is certainly a sweet, calm chick.

Here's the reast of the group. I think have 3 leghorns and 1 golden comet plus the 4 Easter eggers, and of course the marans.

She really is a cute one, but she is not telling me anything about her name!
I confess I had a cat once called No-Name because he showed up one day, refused to tell me his name, stayed for a couple of years, and then moved on.

One of the turkeys is injured. Perhaps that’s why they have not moved on. One is limping and appears to have something hanging down it’s chest, maybe a flap of skin or something. I thought I saw that yesterday , but it was too hard to tell.. Since I see it again today, along with the lamp, I’m pretty sure I got it right. Poor thing.

Look at all that wonderful space you have! I love it! I pay $2800 to rent modest, rustic home that I don’t even own. As much as I love it here, I might need to be open to moving out of the area someday... maybe in retirement.
Oh dear. That is tough. Poor turkey.
I had an injured fox last year and he hasn’t returned so I imagine a coyote got him. Tough short life in the wild.
Thank you, yes, I love where I am and feel very lucky to have been able to find it. I am close by a nature reserve which is why I have so many predators. I got done with cities rather early in my working life and have been hell bent on a remote rural setting to retire to. Have been working for that goal for quite a while. Counting the days!

I feel the same way, nothing is really sticking out yet.

I've been thinking of Pearl, but I'm not even sure of that. I do like old lady names for my chooks. I've thought about Elvira too.

They are all super adorable and will be very pretty when adults. I do have a soft spot for the little Marans. I like that her comb is still relatively tiny, some of my boys have came out of the egg with a much larger comb then the others. Also I see that while there is the typical large feet her legs are not thick tree trunks. I think it's a girl and can't wait to hear what her name turns out to be.

Pearl is a super cute name. She could well be a Pearl. Maybe ask her what she thinks. :love
