Orphans by choice.

It can be very hard to watch. I have seen Sansa just chase Sydney and/or Phyllis when there are no treats involved, I suppose it is "Just Because". That is why I try make certain that Sydney and Sansa get their share of treats. I feel I should balance it a little. Sometimes that means a special feeding for them separate from the others.
I like that special feeding approach...I've done it too

Ih, that’s funny. Wild turkeys are common here, but in 12 years of living here, this is only the second time I’ve seen them in my yard.

We DO have a scrub jay who comes back every spring to fight his reflection on our vehicles. He’s here every day, so I should be able to get a pic or video.

I need to let the chickens out of the coop and will see if the turkeys are near enough for a pic.
What is a scrub Jay?

We get turkeys in the yard every couple of years. The dogs love it when these uninvited guests arrive 😂 I keep reminding them that I don't really enjoy turkey meat, but they retort that "Daddy does!"

I get turkeys most years. I need to look up what a scrub jay is.
I am outside with my Princesses assessing the chicken garden space. So far there is approval from everyone.
I tried making a planting plan last night but I am not yet happy with it. There are some restrictions to work around related to the septic lines and the generator.
Here are the big Princesses on site inspection duty.

Wow! Your property is so lush and pretty

Here's the coffee batch. I'm really beginning to think Cappy is a rumpless. They are part Aruacana, so it should be possible.

The babies are about the same size as Lacey.

I do believe Bean is going to be a beautiful lady. She loves to lay out in the sun and relax.
My Pingu was "tail deficient" and I thought she was rumpless too... turns out just a late bloomer. Will be interested in Cappy's development
