I found them being smart for once and hanging out in the shade, I crept toward them ...

They did have treats earlier of course, they are quite spoiled. Here they had watermelon yesterday, handed of course.

Wonderful photos! They are a lovely group! Thanks for sharing! 🥰

When he hatched I had a gut reaction that the sole Marans was a boy. He was born with a comb. It became obvious at 2 weeks I was right. You cant really see them in the picture but not only is his comb bigger, his wattles started developing a week ago. I also think because he's a boy and is just such a chunk he's the reason I look at the silkies and worry about their growth. They are growing, but when I see the rapid growth of him I sometimes panic thinking they have something wrong. The first picture is when he was 24 hours old, see the comb. The 2nd was yesterday. I thought the cockerel fairy had finally decided to visit someone else and leave me alone for the season.

Roos need love too!

I just got back from the lake, quick dip . Rocks-Ann was waiting for me at the gate, so I brought her inside and quickly played Roxanne (by the Police) I didn’t bring Jaffar in this time, surprisingly! :D
She’s still here with me, and like any good chicken daddy, I’m here loving on her a lot!:love
