I am Removing Phyllis from the Nest This Morning

I will film it for everyone to see.

It just occurred to me how I could tell if Phyllis was getting off of the nest. When I split the coop for her, I put down new straw. There have been exactly 0 poops on that new straw. Therefore I am fairly certain that Phyllis has not left the nest at all.

I am heading out in a minute to supervise her time off the nest.
Looking forward to an update!

This is little Platina. She's been getting a lot better and now only has an occasional cough. Her new favorite thing is running away when we try to give her medicine.
Beautiful chicks with lovely names!!!

Ps. I can’t blame it on the weather being too hot this time. It’s a much cooler day today.
Glad it is cooler for you. I have been using the ‘maybe it will fall down’ strategy for years. I haven’t yet got the trees to cut themselves into logs on the way down however. :lau

I wonder just how long I can procrastinate today without having to cut down those several trees that need falling. (Maybe if I wait long enough, they will drop themselves down and cut themselves into logs) 🤔 :idunno :th
You will have to wait until Peter Pan files over to assist you. That'll be a very long wait
