I’m broken hearted this morning. A friend of mine just asked me if I wanted his overly aggressive BO rooster. I can’t take on any more chickens at this time. Another roo, would unbalance the harmony here. But he’s a beautiful rooster. Reminds me of BEN when he was younger. His rooster pic.

I wanted him bad!!! But I won’t do that to Jaffar. (And I’m not one, to lock up any of the chickens) I have learned to say “sorry, but no “ even if it hurts. My tribe has a healthy balance now. I cannot jeopardize it. I can’t even take on Jeanette’s remaining chickens either.

Do you have any idea which direction you are leaning towards?

Well, the avian vet has not gotten back to me today. I may try to drain her myself, but she tends to have her fluid compartmentalized in a deep (unreachable by me) location. I absolutely hate the thought of her suffering. I was leaning toward attempting another drain and implant, but I need the vet for that.
