I am busy trying to clear enough of the garage to fit the car in and fastening down anything that can blow away. Trouble is it is unbelievably humid so I keep needing to rest and cool down.

We are only due to get heavy rains for 2 days...I'm Boston area, so that far north usually isn't too bad off.

Well, I spoke too soon. This is not a great day for Ruby. I would love to get some more fluid and/or maybe bird formula into her, but her digestive system is very slow. She’s still got whole, unprocessed sunflower seeds coming through her poop from yesterday. That means her crop isn’t emptying. This is the most bizarre, cold August California day I can remember in my entire life. The sun has yet to show itself and right now it’s only 64°. The next five nights are supposed to be 50°, so I may have to keep Ruby inside for a couple nights, even though I was so excited to see her roost yesterday. I will reevaluate later. I just saw her do liquid poop, so maybe her system is starting to move along a bit.

Poor girl! I hope her system gets busy digesting... you both could use a break and all out good news.

All of your friends, feathered and furry, are so at ease and relaxed! What was the bribery tool? Maybe mine will be polite instead of insane maniacs with the correct bribery treat.

Hubby started off with dried mealy worms, which is why the dogs were so interested, then wild bird seed mix which we use for the Rosellas and Cockies.

Penny (the smallest dog) was trying to get Deana to play with her by bowing and pouncing. Deana was unimpressed and chased her away.
I wasn’t quick enough with the camera.
