Mrs BY Bob is right. They are fine. They were fine up until about 7 hours ago at home at the farm and I don't think we can classify the journey as massively traumatic.
Yes, I do know I am really just saying all that to reassure myself.

It is nighttime here and I think I will let them sleep now.

Yep, I tossed it in the corner, started with some positive reinforcement, and it’s now her preferred target! She will go out of her way to pee on it. Three times now since I washed it yesterday and it hasn’t even made it back into her litter box. I had to get that off of my mom’s chair right quickly! (To anyone who may be confused by this... big family drama BS, don’t ask, it sucks) Somehow training my little baby goat to “pee pee on the James jacket” is something that has brought so much joy to everyone I have shared that tidbit of info to in the community. And it’s just a wee bit personally satisfying in a way as well.

And in the ensuing months, has he asked about his jacket?

I would feel the same. Oh I know, she is right, but you were totally traumatized recently and it is understandable. You will do well here. You DID well before, it was just not to be, you were heroic and did what could be done. You were dealt a terrible hand there. This is a new hand. Hang in.

Mrs BYBob, RC and Chicory are right. Breathe! Breathe! It doesn't do you or them any good tying yourself in knots.

Oh ACM I am more traumatized than I feared. It is talking all my willpower to leave them alone and let them rest. I hope I can sleep tonight.

You could get the "heery coo" instead....heating pad for your "emotional support roosters" and bug supplier for them too.

I've been Keeping Something from You All

Please forgive us but @RoyalChick and I have plotting behind everyone's back. The breeder where she got the roadrunners has Polish as well. She has obtained 2 Candy Corn Polish for me. Here is what they look like fully grown.
