You could get the "heery coo" instead....heating pad for your "emotional support roosters" and bug supplier for them too.

Oh ACM I am more traumatized than I feared. It is talking all my willpower to leave them alone and let them rest. I hope I can sleep tonight.
They are babies. They do need to sleep. So do you!
If you have to check on them in the night (I get that!), don’t wake them up.
:hugs

Hehehe, me too, with all of them.
Everytime I leave the house I tell Scrambles (our dog) “Ok Bumpy (nickname), Mummy will be back soon. You be a good boy, protect the house and the girls (chickens) and I’ll see you when I get home.”
Depending who I am leaving at home I can add to the protect list; Daddy (husband) and Violet (daughter).
He is a knee high terrier mutt so not sure how much protecting he could do but course he just wags his tail and looks at me but hey, it’s not hurting anyone 😂

Below is Scrambles after a summer haircut today, he will always be scruffy, haircut or no 😅

He's darling!

Long story but I do have a fair bit of experience dealing with chronic infected wounds including infected bone) in mammals (people).
My knowledge is all a bit dated, and wound treatment technology has come a long way since my day, but as long as I am aware of the differences between mammalian and avian physiology it is still very relevant.
Open festering wounds are more my thing than walled off abscesses (though draining those in mammals is very satisfying!). Believe it or not I even have experience using honey and leeches (though not at the same time) on wounds!
Does any of that qualify me as a witch?
Depends. Do you weigh the same as a duck?

(Seriously, the knowledge is awesome to have.)
