Updated Cheetah pics. Got some wind happening today. Looks like his fluff is at least an inch thick. He's also getting quite the handsome cascade of tail feathers.

And is TINY compared to most of the girls his age.View attachment 2854537View attachment 2854538View attachment 2854540Speedy little bigger though. He's been doing some herding with the pullets, and is more tolerated with Silver and Pear than the pullets, but the big girls can still run him off. They're also not roosting with him ... yet. Pullets mostly are, but pecking order is still in flux (and laying hasn't commenced yet).
He is a handsome little fellow. 😍

It was another big relief. @BY Bob

Finally pressure is easing my home and animal's are at peace :)

Would you believe this, the cat knocked my door twice, he's done this before.

It was around 5pm, I was watching a clip and didn't know it was pouring with rain again. The door went twice so I stopped this clip and went too answer but couldn't see anyone through my window but open the door anyway. There he was wet and miserable. I was so impressed. Nothing surprises me with him, I swear he's human
I have had cats that would do that. In fact they do it inside my house to get access to rooms. I think cats are very smart.

There is a sort of update on this story .

Where these people live the shed they stored these poor dog's has been taken down. I really don't know what has happened :( . I hope the dog's are ok
I wonder. I hope they are free of those people now.

I am greatly relieved to see a bunch of pin feathers coming in on Maggie's neck - she had started to look a bit 'oven-ready' around her chest and neck. But now she is going to have lovely new feathers to keep her warm as the temperatures start to fall.
I don't have much experience of molting - she hasn't lost feathers on her back or tummy - will she be losing those next do you think?
Yup. The feather loss sometimes migrates around and at other times there is not a complete balding of an area. It can differ by hen and year.

In the end, they all have to fall out at some point in order to be replaced.

I’m hoping that Jaffar would finally molt. Maybe he would get his neck feathers back?🤔 but I doubt that he will. I don’t like him being called a “Turk-hen” he’s beautiful to me.

I went out to check on the chooks. They were in a meeting, and I was not invited :( Jaffar is on the ground, calling the shots up to his ladies (his ladies) because they certainly aren’t mine anymore.:idunno

Mine open doors with lever handles. I have had to change some to round knobs to keep some semblance of control in my own home!
