Mine open doors with lever handles. I have had to change some to round knobs to keep some semblance of control in my own home!

Éowyn is tall enough strong enough to open any levered door nob. She has but mostly she knocks.

Nope. You did not do anything wrong. She decided when it was time. Until then you supported her at a level very few would. You let her make the decision instead of making it for her. That is the best gift anyone could give her.

So Ruby is in my lap and I believe she is dying. It seems her digestive tract may have shut down. She ate and drank what I brought her when I got home from San Francisco, but she is drooling intermittently. I’m pretty sure she’ll be gone before Tuesday if not tonight. My poor, sweet, valiant little warrior.

It is heartbreaking even when you (we) have been preparing for it. Perhaps whatever has been causing the swelling, maybe a tumor, has blocked her tract now. I am so sorry! Goodbye, Ruby dear! You've been a good caretaker, @micstrachan Peace to you both.

What a gorgeous pair. What breed are they..is he part Ayam Cemani.?

The little male (truffles) is a black hedemora! While the grey girl (emily) is a bantom Cochin! Love them both so much!

Well that's good to know, that long. It's been a long time with Hazel! I'm not sure, but it's no one or two week thing! It is her first molt. Maybe future ones will be shorter? Maybe not. At least I'll have a better idea going forward.

Sansa has been molting well over a month. She is still not done. Fortunately it is a slow molt not a long naked molt.

Ooohhh...that front & center chicken with the red looks an awful lot like @Shadrach 's avitar. Of course, I had a short night last night and my eyes can barely stay open...and everything is blury at the moment....however, I still think it looks eerily like his avitar!

Haha, (im sure you hwve a reason for being scared of them) but our young girl is very gentle, she does a nibble, and depending on your reaction she stops/bites more. If you back up she rubs against you. And if you playfully swat her back she gets on her belly and knaws on your feet! But based of that gif, she would tottally do that lol!
