So to be clear, you have no need for an enclosed run, correct?Ok peeps, I have a conundrum that I need input on.
This is the prefab I have now that becoming derelict. I hate it which is why I’m looking to upgrade to the cubby coop idea…

ok, so I’ve just seen this and other than difference in height the living space is roughly the same size as the cubby I was going to purchase.

Now, after I fit a floor, raise it on stumps, add ventilation, windows, nest boxes, and all the other stuff to make the cubby safe and secure for my girls, it will end up costing me at least $100-$150 more than this one.
This is the cubby…

All I’ve bought so far for my project is paintso…I’m torn.
As I said, I’m not handy with building so I tried to keep my plan simple for a build but for me, that’s a fair chunk of money. And considering what the girls have now the new prefab is a fair but bigger.
They roam each day so the size of the run isn’t worrying me (and at least it is covered unlike now in the run.)
And I could add more roosts in the prefab, and use my paint if I want to hahaha.
Input?
Sorry I haven’t cropped the photos, first day back at work after the holidays so I’m tired
I hope this all makes sense!
Good luck!I'm attempting to return this shredded wood it's not what I ordered and it's hard for the girls in this awful wet weather
I made an order and it wasn't sent I had to chase it up, after nine phone calls this rubbish arrived
Wish me luck![]()
I also wanted to laugh at this one.
We will need video of this new sound in your yard. That's great. I'm happy for him!Everyone he did it, 1 day shy of 4 months old my little Branch let out his first 2 crows this morning!!!!!!!!!!! And they were not half bad either, he did not sound like he was being strangled to death like some boys do when they are first learning. It did shock me though, being this tiny under 1 pound munchkin I was thinking he'd have more of a high pitched shriek. Nope, Little man has some lungs and it sounded very close to Basil's deep crow. In fact, If I had not been out there feeding the horses breakfast and saw it I would have thought that was Bubba's first attempt.
Those are some handsome mugs including the crested one!Mugshot day (and I'm less than 500 pages down and only a month behind!)

Little Storm, last night...

either she's starting a new set of feathers or she's popping a crest...which would be odd as neither parent has one, unless it's recessive some how.
Beautiful photos. Especially the low angled sun. They have some wonderful ground to roam there. And the sun shone and for a while we were free.

That's very cool. Thanks for confirming for me.Silver's feathers are the same way. Actually, all of my birds with patterned feathers (includes hen colored like Twirp) (except the barred) do this on the wing feathers.
