Now that I know that he crows, I will be out with the camera every morning until I catch it. Little man better not be camera shy.We will need video of this new sound in your yard. That's great. I'm happy for him!

Well said, @Scrambles83 .Sorry to hear, Michelle, she has put up a good fight for so long and you have helped her live that best chickeny life
She’s a good chook and you’re a good egg, what will be, will be
We are all here for you if that time comes.
Oh my gosh! Ours is just crowing away here! His first attempt did sound like he got strangled, it wasnt even cockadoodle do! Thats awesome!Everyone he did it, 1 day shy of 4 months old my little Branch let out his first 2 crows this morning!!!!!!!!!!! And they were not half bad either, he did not sound like he was being strangled to death like some boys do when they are first learning. It did shock me though, being this tiny under 1 pound munchkin I was thinking he'd have more of a high pitched shriek. Nope, Little man has some lungs and it sounded very close to Basil's deep crow. In fact, If I had not been out there feeding the horses breakfast and saw it I would have thought that was Bubba's first attempt.
Will do! I’ll have to take lots of photos. Im sure toothless is in a nice cozy house, i love it when owners give updates. a friend who took our 2 roosters (not truffles) gives us some updates from time to time, which is nice. still we miss them bunches.I find this guy very handsome and would love more pictures. He reminds me of Henrietta's brother Toothless who I had to rehome a year ago. I still miss him, but get updates frequently. He is king of his own barn now with a new harem of ladies.
Yes, we need to work on our second coop (by that i mean the little base we have) they used that when they were younger, but it was way to small so we ended up buying one.I would really love a second coop, it would solve so many problems.
I'm putting the older girls I the small coop today and tonight. My littles need a little comfort
I love your plane’s new name! Named for a special friend, I assume?I just returned from the hanger. (Needed to check on my Marie (The eagle’ new name) she’s ready for flight. I will probably fly up the coast on Tuesday. I have to get away from this bad air, if only for a day. San Francisco, sounds really good to me at the moment!![]()
That is the truth!I'm going to say a boring obvious thing. Certain people shouldn't be allowed children or animal's, period.
They can't look after their own lives and cause havoc for everyone else. Just my take on it all
I am sorry to hear that Ruby has passed. So Ruby is in my lap and I believe she is dying. It seems her digestive tract may have shut down. She ate and drank what I brought her when I got home from San Francisco, but she is drooling intermittently. I’m pretty sure she’ll be gone before Tuesday if not tonight. My poor, sweet, valiant little warrior.
Remember, though, that she had many more good days. She left the world on her own terms in the end. And that was good. Thanks, RC. I just hope I didn’t cause her to have too many bad days by dragging it out. She fought until she no longer could.
