Chickens like Peanut Butter?!

I took an English Muffin with peanut butter out to my chair under the magnolia tree with me yesterday. As soon as I sat down this occurred.

No quarter was given until I shared. I thought they may not like peanut butter. WRONG! They went crazy for it.

Me either. Novelty?

Frankly cats are the same way. Cats love fish but hate water. How are they catching fish in the wild without getting wet? Neither of these two had answers to my question but they both love salmon from a can.

That is my granddaughter. She was born on Memorial day. I do not know how it got attached and I cant get it off the post.

I did not enjoy that 2016 winter either... and I just had lots of sidewalk and high maintenance tenants to shovel out most of the street for! That was in my pre-chicken days, I would like to hope I would be able to be as creative and cool headed about it as you were @BY Bob, but considering how paranoid I was last winter with a sub-freezing week in February... I can see DH leaving me as I cram all the chooks and cats into the trailer! And your Granddaughter, random attatched pic or not, is so adorable!

@mixedUPturk praying for you, your family, and animals... I hope it blows over soon and you’re all Ok!

Can hunting day is always a big event for my kitties... the humans go out for many hours, and return with their prey. This is the presented to them on the floor, so they can properly inspect the kill, and the human servants can arrange the different flavors of cans to their feline overlords preferences. Much nuzzling and sniffing of the cans is a necessary part of the process, as is sitting triumphantly in the box once the cans have been organized.

I will agree on one point, panic never entered the equation. The one thing that gave me chills as I looked back and remembered everything was what if I hadn't thought of the drifting snow while I was checking on them in the storm. To wake up the next day to a coop of passed hens would have been the worst. In fact I'm certain that would have been the end of our journey with chickens.
