Chickens On Mars

Every once and a while the night vision on the Arlo camera will get stuck in position. The end result are these Martian landscapes. To fix you flip the camera over and smack it on your hand. You can hear the lense flip.

I find these shots hysterical and always imagine flocks of wild chickens roving the surface of Mars.

OK that does make me feel better - it is not just me that has a confused on line personality! You would think though, that on a site called BackYard Chickens that there would be more chicken stuff - I mean it is a pretty big hint that we are interested in, well, chickens!

Yes. I get that. I am totally schizophrenic on that topic.
Part of me thinks they already know everything and if they want to bore themselves snooping on my chicken-chat then who cares?
The other part of me is completely paranoid and I even have a cash-only burner phone which I use to create on-line aliases and a prepaid (cash again) credit card. I confuse myself sometimes!
I have recently got a bit worried as the ads that appear on BYC clearly believe that I am in my 20s and looking for casual dates. Maybe my aliases have taken on a life of their own. They certainly seem to be having fun and a much more active social life than I ever had at that age!

It's not really a security issue. It's a Microsoft issue. I use Linux and all those little widgets that web sites love splashing all over their pages don't really get on with Linux.

Bob has three new beautiful girls, Sidney a Barred Rock, Sansa a Wyandotte, and Phyllis the Polish, and it is way too cold out down there! We chatted a bit about Eagles, cats, and life. The skunks haven’t been around too much and no sign of the killer. The Run/coop is fully tightened up. The new girls are in the smaller coop, pending full introductions. That’s what stands out in my recollection regarding just Fluffy Butt Acres. There are also more new chickens with others, @Ribh and @MaryJanet (I still need to catch up over there) my incubator is full, and I’m starting to get the house up. That’s about everything big I can think of... anyone remember anything I missed?

I’m sure I missed lots, and the videos and pictures are worth going back for! @mixedUPturk if you look through the posts the ones with the bold titles usually have the gems of cute videos and narratives, and that way you can gloss over the random chat stuff. That’s a lot of catch up... hopefully everything is well with you and you’ve just had your hands full with all those little quail babies?

Ugh. The d*mn husband was giving me trouble so i took the littlest and skipped town for Two days. Been struggling to get my household caught up after that because it is an extra difficult household. Lost 14 of the quail babies under his care

He said my job is Easy! (being an npip breeder with a business in the green after its first year and most importantly taking care of our family which includes twin 3 yr olds and a 2 yr old) he also said many other things but it didnt take long to start begging me back and i just cant leave my step children. They may not be biologically my own but they cant be anymore mine than they are the needier twin clamped onto me and would Not Let Go without screaming and crying during the Whole first day back. Like id been gone for a month or something I had to go potty with him screaming in the hall terrified of loosing the only woman hes had full time in his life for his whole life

No worries now though he even issued a public apology after bringing the crap to fb

So like many an attractive lady!

I have identical twin boys. Even in their 30's they're not easy. Anyone dealing with twins deserves all the support they can get. I swear there's something in the twinning process that makes them particularly insane! Try:
You put this on/cut your hair this way/etc so I can see how I'll look.
To say nothing of the school swaps & their insane thinking over things like boat & car licenses because they saw themselves as a single entity. Sorry guys, but the law is never going to agree with you on that one!

I’m so sorry you’ve gone through so much drama! Do you have anyone you can talk to, a counselor/therapist as such? I’m watching my sister-in-law get dragged backwards by the hair through an ugly divorce and it’s awful to watch.

This is clearly not where we fell asleep.
Dawn in the garage, and some puzzlement, but everyone is OK and it is a cozy 37 degrees inside.
One discovery is that the garage is over-run with mice. They woke up the chickens with their scampering around. I need to deal with that. Maybe the lazy cats can help.View attachment 2026748
