Awe you ladies are both so great!

I have identical twin boys. Even in their 30's they're not easy. Anyone dealing with twins deserves all the support they can get. I swear there's something in the twinning process that makes them particularly insane! Try:
You put this on/cut your hair this way/etc so I can see how I'll look.
To say nothing of the school swaps & their insane thinking over things like boat & car licenses:he because they saw themselves as a single entity. Sorry guys, but the law is never going to agree with you on that one!

Exactly! Theyre Nuts! I had no idea you have twins! :hugs your right support support support :love And then i have the extra one a yr younger! Its cool though he had those boys on his own for a few days and he realized how hard it is :lau :gig :lau then they were so bad for him looking for me and he almost never keepsthem on his own he had no idea what to do :lau

He had the gall to complain i havent been able to potty train them all!

I’m so sorry you’ve gone through so much drama! Do you have anyone you can talk to, a counselor/therapist as such? I’m watching my sister-in-law get dragged backwards by the hair through an ugly divorce and it’s awful to watch. :( :hugs

Awe thank you! :hugs i do not have anyone professionally but my mother in law and i are super close i love her to bits. She was on my side and she bawled about it right along with me and we stayed in touch the whole time. In fact shes still mad with him for me. i do have alot of family support but they all live at least 100 miles away. So thats where i went and he knew we could have stayed as long as we wanted :love they are each very wise in their ways and we were fine.

Couldnt fathom staying away from my boys though. Just couldnt. I am a mom first, no matter what, they are my whole world.

Can't Keep Us In

this morning's temperature was 10° colder than they had forecasted. As you can see it was up to 9° from 8° at 7:25.

I'm really glad that I brought the newbies into the garage last night. That's just too cold for my standards. The Big Girls would not be kept inside by the cold. As soon as the door opened they went right under the coop.
That under coop space is such a bonus in your chilly winters!

Yes they are fully grown and laying and generally seem very healthy - energetic, curious, chatty, and always scratching around. Maggie has a particularly big and floppy comb and she will definitely lose some of the tips to frostbite. The issue is the temporary housing situation - I took over the chickens from a school project and I don't think the coop is adequate. To be fair it is a good job for a teenage project, but it has drafts and as you know it has been very damp so I think that must be why she got frostbite. The Chicken Palace will have lots of ventilation and will be cozy and draft free but we are still a few weeks from it being ready for moving in. I must say the garage was a good decision for last night and was much easier than I expected - no fuss!
I can't wait to see your chicken palace :)

My Little Einstein continues to Impress

When released back into the run, Sansa really had it out for Phyllis. Even faring her neck feathers several times. For her part, Phyllis always just ran away. She got pecked hard once but that was it.

Phyllis then just wouldn't go near Sansa. Her and Sydney were together a lot.

Then Phyllis wanted to drink some water but Sansa was right there. Her solution was truly unique and shows her smarts again.
She's great at solving problems! I'm impressed!

I had one 3 years older & 1 18 months younger. :thWhat was I thinking? The identicals had a twin language which they taught to my daughter so I had 3 whose 1st language was not English & had a communication system all their own! And ~ they had no singular pronouns till they were well into their teens. I wasn't one of these mums who always dressed them the same & bought identical presents but they had, & still have, this little world all their own. I pity their wives.

I am recognizing excellence when see it. It seems that she knows her limitations and place in the order of things but she is smart enough to adapt. She has won my heart and I am amazed by her. :love

I did not want a Polish, but she is clearly a special little hen. I am a lot less worried about her integrating at this point.

And how can you not love this face?
