I told Peggy and she said, "hmmmm sounds like Daisy had magic feathers."
I think she did.

Well, they are not one person but 2 so I wanted to celebrate each as their own person ~ & that was important for their teens but seriously, these guys had a name for their singleness as a twin phenomea. It was a combination of their individual names that they always used to refer to themselves. But it could drive people batty. Who was this 3rd child they kept referring to? And school was a nightmare. They had no idea of personal ownership because it didn't exist in their world. Everything was *ours.* And I had boys. I think girls might be worse.
Yep. As my lot got older they each got 2 weeks on their own with my mum & dad [their grandparents]. That was very good for them. The other lot lived next door.I bet your right about that last line! Geez gotta take a moment for those moms
Without them being identical i think we will have much less trouble than you
And yes i totally agree on celebrating them as individuals, one of the things i often do is take just one child with me if im going to the store and have a sitter. That way its easy to me since im so accustomed to 3and we get that one on one time. Then theyre allowed to pick out something they want and i think the whole experience on a reref basis really helps them be individuals.

Nah. I just made heaps of mistakes & I'm an awful disciplinarian. I tend to wait till my boil boils over.Thats so great! If u ever wanna offer parenting advice im all ears! I think You are really great and i will consider any piece of information you try to pass on as gold!
Ha! Me too.I can't wait to see your chicken palace![]()
It looks amazing!! I love the way the runs step down the hill.Ha! Me too.
At the start it was fun to be designing and planning and making choices and coming to terms with the fact that it is completely over the top but that is OK because it is my retirement gift to myself. But now all that is really old and I just want it finished and the Princesses moved in. We are really close (not to finished but to move-in-able) but somehow never quite there.
Before I found Fluffy Butt Acres I posted in coop design to get advice on the Chicken Palace so there are a few photos on this thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/coop-on-a-hillside-roost-heights.1338548/
(hope I did that right).
I have to wait until the guys are finished inside the coop before I let the Princesses move in because they (the Princesses not the guys) have suicidal tendencies and go straight to taste every abandoned screw, nail and staple. So I want finished and raked clean before move-in. Meanwhile the ladies are camping in the middle section in a coop made for the school project and using the run, but they aren't yet in the cozy coop.
Thank you! I am beyond excited about it. All focus is on finishing the coop so the ladies can move in. I don't think it will be next week. But maybe, maybe, the week after. It looks amazing!! I love the way the runs step down the hill.
So more bird news!
