Awww thanks for asking. She looks a mess with her molting but she is zipping around and digging stuff up with great energy. I did manage to sit out with them a bit this afternoon but she didn't oblige with a poop of any kind so I am not sure if she is back to normal. I will try and do a crop massage in the morning if I am up to it. She looks fitter than me right now!
:lau
Hope you feel better soon. Get rest....also sunlight in the middle of the day if possible...

Wow, deep-fried sausage with an egg in the middle. So the point is to get an unpeeled but still whole egg into a casing of sausage and then cook it, thus the soft-boil to begin. Then the egg is going to cook into a firmer state, but hopefully not too cooked, I guess? Suppose you started with a hard-boiled egg? Does a more-cooked egg turn into something not good to eat? Rubbery? Or do the yolks turn dark and not look great? Something else?
I found this - I have never had a Scotch egg that was soft inside but I found this looking for recipes.
This is way more than you would ever want to know about Scotch eggs but I must admit they look yummy!

FBF!
It's going to take me a very long time not just to name all the chickens but to recognize who is who. Anyway, it's fluffy belonging to someone.

I've never done soft boiled.. always hard. Works fine. I just think soft would be even better if I can cook it so the sausage cooks without doing much more to the egg.

I think I posted before about used teabags for eyes.
They are sterile as you poured boiling water in them ti make tea. The tea is mildly astringent and the tannin discourages bacteria. They are wet and you can squeeze them to be only damp so you can wash the crusts off. They are a convenient shape and size for the job.
And finally in England I imagine they are plentiful !
I may give this a try for cleaning. Thanks.

Man, alot of ppl find it silly when I mourn over my chickens, but one death really hurt me alot. It was this blind hen that I had for 10 years. I spent on avg probably 1-2 hours a day helping her stay healthy and making sure she was able to eat and drink, but just like all life, she eventually passed away despite all my efforts. It really bothered me for awhile but I eventually figured out the best medicine for that is to get more chickens! Lol
Ten years old is a decent age for achicken let alone a blind chicken.:love
