Wow. That's impressive. She landed in the middle of the cluster (they stopped 2 feet out to debate the merits of being out), then scurried to the edge. She launched herself from the roost both Silver and Pear were on, from within 12 inches of them.
That is crazy! So scary. We interrupt this program to share this:
You are so kind. Thanks so much. You know where to reach me if you need to talk.I am devastated for your loss but so happy Phyllis & Sylvie look like they are going to form a pair. Not the same I know but something is better than nothing.
These temperatures are not unexpected for us in November, December, January and February. I don't really mind so much on the days that I don't have to start my car, but it isn't great for the chickens. I won't be letting them outside today. That's cold even for us and it hits that in deep winter!
I had to stop watching your video as the Princesses had come out and then got spooked by the noise of your hawks on video! I am happy they spook at the sound of a hawk but I don’t want it to become a ‘cry wolf’ situation so I will finish watching when I go inside again. We interrupt this program to share this:
I don’t really think the hawk is a jerk. I just don’t like that it disrupts free range time.
I’m glad to see her doing chickeny things, Bob.For MJ
