Dotty is a show off. She decided to lay an egg today.

I actually like it because it means it gets better and better every day from now on.
I really hate the short days. I want to go to bed right after the chickens do and that is at 4pm at the moment.

I'm usually heading to bed within a couple of hours of full dark. Don't sweat the when.

I just got a fun B-day card (opened it early, it had a Christmas sticker on the back & envelope was green thought it was a Christmas card)

No, she was just afraid you were going to be a traitor and buy the *horrid* stuff @ the store. (Shudder) She figured she would work hard and squeeze one out to keep that reality at bay a bit longer.

And it worked! Well helped by the fact that I put a dozen in the freezer back in the summer!

Maggie’s therapy
I am working on what I can do something about with Maggie. If she either had leg weakness caused by some deficiency (probably from not eating commercial food) or something like a stroke, then physical therapy might help.
So I rigged up a sure fire Maggie physio mechanism.
Here you see her balancing on a log and standing on tippy toe while reaching up high. I think she is doing rather well.
She will do pretty much anything for an ear of corn!
