That's frightening. I know you mentioned this before but please remind me, why are they shooting birds?
In reality, people here shoot birds all day long. Central Valley home of most all the produce the United States consume

Youngest requests a photo of Eowyn stretched out with a tape measure for scale please.

Their cat Lacy, although long, only weighs around 3kg.View attachment 2954209
I have one from a couple of months ago. if she will stretch out today I will try and take an updated one. Will this work in the meantime?

You're up early!

Are they trying to keep birds from eating produce? Spent some time in Yuma AZ where they grow tonnes of produce, and hay! I was surprised to see Red Wing Black birds there, we have them here all summer. (So much so I was worried about them transmitting disease to my chickens, they are not shy about eating their food!)

We have a Migratory Bird Act here which stops people from shooting birds, the fines are very stiff.

My being up early, is of no concern. When Jaffar starts crowing, I awake and listen. If Arizona is inside, I’m forced to feed her , and put up with the stupid TV shows she prefers! :th

What is she watching now?

Apparently the law has been changed on shooting wild birds, it's encouraged too protect the predator species.

I read this in the guardian, if they have a license they can shoot.
