Oh I feel for you! Sounds like Alberta here 😆

I have one of those Cozy Hen heater panels I placed it in front of the broody bunch's nest box about 5" from the front (thankfully they chose a ground floor dwelling for these shinnanigans) the heat wafts into the box and keeps it nice and warm.

It even wafts up to the second story dwelling (middle nest box) where my silkie X cockerel has been sleeping. I caught him stretched out chillaxing with his head resting over the edge of the nest box last night hahaha - when I went it I thought he was dead!! He got up stretched yawned shook his feathers and glared at me 😆 glad he is enjoying the supplemental heat while everyone else freezes their fluffy butts off !

Well keep us updated!
Next time we need a photo of Mr Relaxed Rooster. That sounds hysterical. 😆

Coop still closed. Took out a bale. Had been planning on cleaning boxes, then putting out fresh straw. Well, forget that! Just added straw. Jessica stayed put, even when I tucked straw in next to her. Rest of tribe: major freak out. Gathered up wire and wrap then opened hatch. Twirp went out.....came back in. Closed hatch, tribe checking out freshened boxes, Thing most vigorously (aka kicking straw out of box, move to next box, repeat). Jessica grabbing at 1-2 pieces. Likely hopping off later today with a straw cover (I hope). Temp finally started warming a bit, so
We'll see how the afternoon goes.

You know I joked the other day that I one day needed to join the frizzle club on here. What do I see first thing when I get on facebook this morning? A new listing for a white frizzle silkie. Thankfully it is on the other end of the state and it is too young to know gender yet but they are suspecting boy at 3 months or I may well have been planning another short road trip.

@RoyalChick this is for you (if I do this correctly:rolleyes:)

BFTP:
Aaawwww...nothing like a peaceful sun bath! How lovely and cozy:love:love
I wouldn't mind being able to soak up some 'sun heat' at the moment, that's for sure!!
I remember those. Great pictures. The Princesses and I all got our weekly dose of vitamin D today and yesterday sitting out in the melting snow.

You surely do have great neighbors. How about some pictures of the fellas?
