And yes that’s chunk, hiding under the plywood we use for keeping the generator dry… this little guy doesn’t mind the weather one bit though, I had to move him as I wasn’t loading the utility trailer with burnable form boards

@BY Bob: I said in my last post Luna was my whinger & would often vocalise all day every day ~ often loudly. As you know I have just lost my 2 top hens so the pecking order here has shifted & Luna is now [I'm pretty sure] one of the top 2 & this is what I am observing: Luna is not vocalising anywhere near as much as she was. That is now Aoife's job & she is a much louder, harsher sounding hen. She also constantly scoots around the yard making an almighty racket. Being a Campine I wasn't paying much attention @ first as the Campines are quite mad but it has persisted. Ha'penny or Luna lead the girls to roost but Aoife is usually the last one in & she seems to run round rounding everyone up & screaming @ them. I am wondering if Sydney has taken on the same position Aoife has & this vocalising is part of the job ~ though I am unsure exactly what that job is.

They are beautiful what breed are they?

And hello Moggy 💖

And of course it the northern peeper that catches my eye hahahaha.

I can't WAIT to hear the frogs and toads 🤗 that is when I know it's spring!!!!

And the frost will be out of the ground so I can start on my new runs!

Ugh, it’s pouring rain, I still desperately have to go empty the house rain buckets, and bring more down… but everyone is sheltering under MY trailer, which has me ridiculously on edge thanks to yesterday’s mink sighting… I’m not going to get anything done today at this rate. And good luck for getting any weather whining tax pictures to make up for today… unless y’all want blurry under trailer shots of soggy chickens among all the junk they’ve shoved under there. Sigh… at least it’s not snow/cold!
Enjoy the rain it was -20 again this morning 😥

At this rate it's going to be June before the chickens can get a new run!
