Too much other good food to eat. So they avoided the trap.

I don’t know… I secured the potatoes, the bread, anything I could think of/find. Perhaps this one has a peanut allergy or something? It also got into my cutlery drawer I didn’t realize that was open at the back, as it’s part of the microwave cart I modified into an island/
countertop. The only things stored in there (now the potatoes are safely in the mouseproofed oven) are literally canned/jarred items like soup.

I didn’t have much time to spend with the girls yesterday, as I had a phone call scheduled in the afternoon but I did get this… this is the look I get when I walk with an empty feeder somewhere. They are just like cats. “My bowl, it is empty. Why are you not immediately fixing this???”

I once had mice eat most of a bar of soap and then of course there is electric wiring (apparently a favorite snack).
Are you sure the oven is mouse-proof? Really sure?

I put fragrance oils on some sponges (supposed to detour mice), but they ate the sponges.

When we first started working on this house (before moving in), my husband left a bar of Lava hand soap at the kitchen sink. They ate 1/2 of it!!!! I always wondered what they were after in it ?maybe the pumice??
