Wow, been absent for 3 days and a lot has happened. Royalchick has babies. They are so adorable. My grandmother got released from the hospital late Tuesday night. She flat out refused the week of in hospital rehab they wanted her to do. She now is staying with us and starting next week will do in home rehab 3 days a week. She is not happy about that, but it was the only way they would let her come home. She is having to use a walker and is not supposed to get up by herself. Well, me and mom are taking turns watching her around the clock as she tries to do it herself. I've already had to run and catch her once with her trying to sneak out of the bed. We are exhausted, and every day she keeps insisting she's going home in a few days. I'm letting that go in one ear and right out the other.
I can empathize with you, having been a community care nurse and dealing with these situations. Be kind to yourself, you're doing and amazing job 💖

Your Gramma is dealing with the reality of her situation and it's hard on her. I dare say maybe more hard on her than you - facing ones old age is not for the faint of heart.

Fluffy butt Friday - Fluffy McNugget's butt is finally filling in and not looking so rude 😊

@rural mouse here is my go at comb and feet for the black one. I have no clue on the comb it is very hard to see. If I had to guess I would say straight/single or whatever that kind is called. I don’t know about the feet either except I think they are pretty cool looking. All I can be sure of is this one does not like the camera and has a cute white fluffy butt!

My Guess:
So, barring it is an exotic chick, my guess is either an olive egger (they can be sooo varied in coloring), or a 'blue' orpington. With pink feet, it should be a white skinned bird...so orpington...but 'blue, black/splash split, or lavender. Whatever the hatchery/breeder classifies it as. It will be darker than Hattie, though.

Edit to add: I don't think it is a true full on black orpington, as it has too much 'light' colored fluff!.
